Reporting to the President, North America, the CFO, Sales Region North America is a key business partner to the President and senior leaders. Cascade and allocate revenue and profits targets from corporate to local level. Leverage financial and sales ops insights, provide strategic advice to achieve sales and financial plans (top & bottom lines), balancing product portfolio, pricing strategy and opportunities.

Provide leadership and direction to the North America Finance and Sales Operations functions. Through direct reports & extended teams, ensure effective financial/operational activities, controls and good governance.  Manage financial assets and improvement of working capital.  Further Sales Operations’ capabilities to support and enhance sales effectiveness and customer sat.  Compliance to corporate policy and local regulatory requirements.


Currently leads ~200 staff via six direct reports. Create and foster a sense of common purpose, an environment that promotes performance and trust.
 

Job Functions: (Primary “essential” duties and responsibilities)
•Manage overall development of the NA sales region Strategic Plans and budgets. Opertionalize and ensure overall plan is well integrated among various functions & align with the corporate plan
•Responsible for financial plans and policies; establish fiscal controls; prepare, interpret and submit applicable internal & external financial reporting or filings.
•Manage all financial/operational accounting activities including monthly closings, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, cash management, costing, budgeting, expense reporting system, tax filings, audits, etc. Maintain required operating records and direct the preparation of financial analysis, statements and audits as required. 
•Work with outside auditors to ensure all financial statements and activities are in accordance with Generally Accepted Account Principles (GAAP) and International Finance Reporting Standards (IFRS). Prepare necessary information for auditors.
•Provide counsel on accounting, financial analysis, and tax function. Closely partners with the President North America and the Getinge Leadership team to support business development
•Interpret operating records as related to profitability and monitor effectiveness of a variety of cost reduction programs.
•Oversee Sales Operations through direct report / team:  Sales analysis & reporting (intelligence); territory allocation and individual account planning; pricing strategy and execution; incentive plans to direct and reward performance; supply chain optimization and order fulfilment and customer service. Develop/enhance systems, performance metrics, processes, procedures, and reporting to support objectives.
•Supply Chain management:  Oversee strategy setting, process development, systems enhancement, and building capabilities to effectively balance supply and demand across the organization’s supply chain from the end-customer to suppliers. Ensure optimization of inventory performance and drives down supply chain volatility in order to maintain industry- leading service levels to our customers.
•Build strategic partnerships with internal and external executive level management, outside regulatory agencies, customers, vendors, and/or suppliers to further organizational objectives
•Select, recruit, develop talent for the organization

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:.
•Finance leader experienced with a multinational company.  Big picture thinker; global mindset.
•Demonstrated effective leadership in the financial management of budgets in a sales organization.
•Experience participating in the development innovative strategies for and driving the execution of strong top-line product sales growth.
•Proven leadership capability and goal oriented management style with capability to manage in a matrix style organization with international business partners.
•Proven performance management skills.
•Trained in Regulatory and Quality Systems and experience in regulated industry requirements and contract negotiation.
•Possess a broad range of skills in order to provide the necessary leadership and direction in the face of various situations and market demands, such as a proven ability to handle multiple tasks/projects, manage priorities accordingly, able to grasp complex business issues and logically develop solutions.
•Experience in developing innovative financial strategies that help drive the execution of strong top-line product sales growth.
•Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Minimum Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree in Finance.
•Master’s in Business Administration, CPA or CMA preferred.
•A minimum of 15 years’ experience with a hands-on management style, preferably in a medical device and/or technology driven marketing and sales company.
•Demonstrated knowledge of all commercial aspects to including sales and marketing, as well as financial controls, preferably in the medical device industry.
•Thourough understanding of regulatory, compliance requirement related to and operations in general and medical devices industry.
•Demonstrated skills in sales, planning and directing the operations of complex international business operations.
•Sales operations/compensation experience a definite plus
•Knowledge of domestic and international operations and markets.
•Ability to plan, set objectives, measure performance, and provide direction and build a culture of employee involvement at all levels.
•Proven leadership capability and goal oriented management style with capability to manage in a matrix organization with international business partners.
•Must have a valid passport for international travel.


Quality Requirements:
•Build Quality into all aspects of their work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements.
•Ensure compliance to all FDA and Worldwide Quality & Compliance regulations (As applicable to your job function).
•You must have the education and experience to understand and comply with U.S. and Worldwide medical device regulations (As applicable to your job function).
•Attend all required Quality & Compliance training at the specified interval.
•Adopt the “Beyond Compliance Quality Culture” in the work environment; always meet and exceed requirements.

Environmental/Safety/Physical Work Conditions: 
•Responsible for understanding and conforming with the Environmental Policy to ensure that significant environmental aspects that relate to actual or potential impacts with their work are executed to minimized the effects on the environment.
•Responsible for bringing to the attention of management any potential improvements that could reduce our environmental impact or to report activities that could result in a negative impact to the environment.
•Responsible for understanding and conforming with the Health and Safety Policy to ensure that the significant risks that relate to actual or potential hazards with their work are identified.
•Travel requirement of about 30% which includes international travel.
