Job Functions: (Primary “essential” duties and responsibilities)

  • Perform physical and functional testing of IAB’s and component for lot acceptance, protocols, 510k submissions and validations.
  • Provide support to technician in the Quality Engineering Lab. to ensure compliance to Datascope requirements.
  • Perform environmental, biological and particulate testing to assure compliance to specification requirements.
  • Perform compressed air quality testing.
  • Update/write procedures, prepare reports and schedule.
  • Perform life testing for product audits, protocol, 510(k) submissions and validations.
  • DMA (Dynamic Mechanical Analysis) a plus


Required Skills and Abilities:

  • All technicians must be able to record legibly and accurately. They must be extremely organized and detail oriented. They must have good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to interpret drawings and specifications and use standard measuring gages and test equipment.
  • All Inspectors must be trained to be “User Friendly” with a computer keyboard.
  • Equipment frequently used: Computer, printer, gages, test equipment, Instron physical test equipment, particle counter, IAB pump, Fallout plates, Rodac plates and other lab. equipment

Experience and Education Requirements:

  • All technicians should be able to read and write English and be able to do Basic Math; a High School Diploma or its equivalent is preferred.
  • 2 to 3 year experience in Quality Control.
  • Knowledge GMP and ISO 13485, 9001 quality system standard requirements.
