Position Overview:

The Sales Compensation Analyst will be responsible for providing support to the Supervisor, Sales Compensation in the administration of Commission compensation programs.  The position assists in ensuring legal documentation and that the Compensation Plan overview is current. The Analyst also executes compensation programs utilizing data from performance tracking, reward calculations, reporting and analysis and dispute resolution.

Job Details:

  • Assist in auditing and maintaining sales commission database for field sales employees, ensure all that all field sales employees’ moves are accounted for and tracked with 100% accuracy.
  • Responsible for identifying and handling and calculation of all pro-rations for transfers, new hires and terminations.
  • Audit reports used to track movements.
  • Responsible for interfacing with the field to handle difficult commissions, payout questions and sales commission payout changes throughout the year.
  • Work closely to maintain the adjustment database that tracks all adjustments company wide.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of data incorporated by month into all associate sales commissions statements which involve multiple adjustments each month.
  • Support audit of payroll through maintenance and creation of excel worksheets.  Adhere to outlier check process provided and review for additional audit opportunities.
  • Partner with HR Payroll to submit payouts while strictly adhering to the Payroll deadline.
  • Responsible for creating and auditing upload files from the Access database before communication to Payroll.
  • Prepare and manage Compensation Statements to all field sales employees
  • Statement distributed in PDF format prior to payroll being paid for representative verification.
  • Responsible for auditing statements to identify outlier and verify True Up, Adjustments, Proration, etc.
  • Participate in the development of detailed Sales Commission Databases that incorporate financial budgets and compensation plans.
  • Conduct a side-by-side analysis and verification of sales commission plans by using two sets of data, both in Excel and Access.
  • Evaluate previous year’s processes and make recommendations and improvements for the upcoming year.
  • Build Quality into all aspects of work.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field or an equivalent combination or education and relevant experience.
  • A minimum of 1-3 years’ experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform thorough, quantitative, and qualitative analyses using applicable technology tools
  • Experience with ADP HRIS preferred.
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to find a solution or handle proactively with work related problems.
  • Ability to develop and sustain positive relationships with internal as well as external customers.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities at one time with completion and follow through on all.
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access.
  • Pivot Tables, VLookups, write and combine Excel formulas, conditional formatting, experience with structuring and presenting data, integrating excel with other tools like Access and Powerpoint.
