Job Function Summary:  To provide support in carrying out all quality control functions and ensure that quality requirements are met.

Job Functions:

  • Reviews Device History Records for completion and verification of compliance in accordance with the requirements of the Device Master Record (DMR).
  • Responsible for sterile product release and review of sterilization records.
  • Delegates, schedules, and prioritizes inspections for other QC Technicians.
  • Performs inspections, testing and training as needed.
  • Assist in the supervision, evaluation and development of the QC Technicians.
  • Initiates Nonconformance Reports (NCRs), aids in investigations and Corrective Actions / Preventive Actions (CAPAs) as needed.
  • Reviews Change Orders for accuracy and assesses the impact on QC inspection.
  • Communicates issues and addresses concerns in the team – sharing information with other Group Leaders and with the Supervisors
  • Identifies training and documentation gaps and initiates change orders as needed to resolve them.
  • Attends meetings and acts as Coordinator between QC and Manufacturing production needs.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related duties as requested.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Minimum Requirements:  

  • High School Diploma, or equivalent; Associates Degree preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, ability to read, write and speak English.
  • Working knowledge of FDA/GMP and ISO standards.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience working in a QC/Manufacturing environment.
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office (Word/Excel).
