Job Function Summary:

Our position provides technical support for the quality assurance function within the Logistics organization.  It also acts as a key contributor to cross functional process improvement and problem solving teams.

Primary Responsibilities

 

  • Supports Quality management, which includes ensuring that corrective and preventive actions are issued as required, properly investigated, documented, effective, and completed on time, and that internal audits are properly performed, documented, and completed in accordance with the annual audit procedure/schedule.
  • Supports Supplier management, which includes maintaining supplier corrective actions, supplier audits, supplier certification, non-conforming material review and supporting incoming material inspection.
  • Reviews and approves product/process qualification/validation and other change control related documentation.
  • Performs inspection of incoming materials; ensure inspection records are maintained.
  • Investigates product issues by conducting failure investigations, complaint trending, and Product Inquiries.
  • Communicates and interacts with other functions within Getinge, provides data and investigation support as needed.
  • Supports the Material Review Board by providing or reviewing the disposition of Non-Conforming Material.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Minimum of an Associate’s degree in Science or related field is required. A Bachelor's degree is preferred or equivalent logistics experience.
  • Experience working in a distribution center, a logistics function, or manufacturing environment strongly preferred
  • A minimum of two years of experience in quality assurance, quality engineering or related functions is required.
  • Prior experience in a FDA regulated industry or ISO certified organization is required. Minimum 2yrs experience supporting logistics prefered.
  • Working knowledge of quality systems is preferred. 
  • Must demonstrate effective influencing and change management skills and demonstrated achievements in process improvements.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office Products such as Word and Excel or equivalent software applications is required.
  • Must be able to travel up to 10% as required.
