Job Description

Job Title:  Ventilation Trainer

Position Overview:

The Senior Field Training Associate will be responsible for conducting product training and education programs for Getinge's employees. This role will be focused on the company’s assigned product line. Candidates can be located anywhere in the United States (LOWER 48).

Job Details:

  • Develop and conduct product training and education programs for Getinge employees and external customers. 
  • Evaluate Getinge’s product training needs by evaluating employee knowledge, skills and abilities against needs of job, and identifying gaps where training is needed. Provide recommendations to sales management and Human Resources based on aforementioned evaluations.
  • Implement measurements in partnership with Sales Management to improve company personnel performance or enhance employee technical product knowledge.
  • The trainer position for the Ventilation and Anesthesia line is a unique blend of Marketing, Sales, and Customer
  • The Trainer works in several ways to support the work of the Area Director, Territory Manager, Account Manager,
    Marketing Director, and Training Director.
  • In addition to new employee training, the Trainer has a variety of regular duties including education development with BA,
    trade show assistance, paperwork management of new employee training, assisting marketing director in marketing message and supporting training director in any needs.
  • Work with other Field Training Associates, Sales Management and the respective Marketing Manager to write training plans.
  • Attend professional conferences to build networks of contacts, advance technical knowledge, and ensure professional expertise is maintained.
  • Evaluate with external customers the clinical application of products from a clinical and patient perspective.
  • Build Quality into all aspects of work.
  • Ensure compliance to all FDA and Worldwide Quality & Compliance regulations (As applicable to the job function).
  • Attend all required Quality & Compliance training at the specified interval.
  • Able to adopt the “Beyond Compliance Quality Culture” in the work environment; always meet and exceed requirements.
  • Able to practice verbatim compliance (exact compliance, no interpretation) with corporate Quality and Regulatory procedures (as applicable to your job function).
  • If your job description requires customer facing activities, you must thoroughly understand and comply with the Customer complaint reporting process and complaint procedures (As applicable to your job function).
  • Able to promptly report any non-compliance issues to Chief QA, RA, Compliance officer or appropriate administrator, including the Compliance Hotline.
  • Must not be debarred by FDA for work in any Medical Device or Pharmaceutical business.

Environmental/Safety/Physical Work Conditions:

  • Responsible for understanding and conforming with the Environmental Policy to ensure that significant environmental aspects that relate to actual or potential impacts with their work are executed to minimized the effects on the environment.
  • Responsible for bringing to the attention of management any potential improvements that could reduce our environmental impact or to report activities that could result in a negative impact to the environment.
  • Responsible for understanding and conforming with the Health and Safety Policy to ensure that the significant risks that relate to actual or potential hazards with their work are identified.
  • The position requires air travel of approximately 50% to 90%.

Background Requirement

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant training experience.
  • Outstanding presentation skills are required.
  • Ability to effectively articulate and communicate training related to the assigned product line (s) in a way that enhances engagement.
  • Exceptional listening skills and the ability to problem solve.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment, with customers of varying skill levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively to ensure successful completion of training requirement.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
  • Valid driver’s license is required.
