Intern - Global Therapy Development Department  Wayne, NJ

Position Overview

The position of Global Therapy Development Intern is for a current undergraduate student, preferably in Instructional Technology and Learning Sciences, interested in contributing to the improvement of our customer training offerings. In this position you’ll have the opportunity to work closely with our subject matter experts and customer training specialists in designing, creating, and implementing a variety of new training materials. 

The intern should be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment and have strong creative, quantitative and organizational skills. The project work requires utilizing Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Articulate and/or other applications, and working in a small team within the Global Therapy Development department, at times interacting with other internal departments and/or field-based teams.

This is a paid internship with no additional stipends, and the start date for the internship is September 2018 timeframe for a duration of approximately 6 months.

Job Details

  • Work with subject matter experts to build new, therapy specific, customer training items in a variety of forms, including in-person instructor-led PowerPoints, eLearning, and in-service video.
  • Proactively identify and resolve project issues and conflicts.
  • Organize and create cataloged resources for customer training documents.
  • Organize and maintain project records to track the status of a respective project.
  • Support day-to-day Customer Training tasks as required.

Position Requirement:

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program (Instructional Technology and Learning Sciences)
  • Intermediate skills in Word and Outlook or another e-mail system.
  • Advanced Skills in PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiarity with Articulate e-learning software.
  • Ability to generate ideas to improve existing materials within the Customer Training department.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Flexible and proactive in taking on assignments and responsibilities, and willing to learn.
  • Excellent written oral communication skills.
  • Solid instructional design skills, especially with adult learning.
  • Confidence in working with subject matter experts and leaders.
  • Passion and curiosity about human development and learning.
  • Courage to explore and experiment with ideas.
  • Ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments.
  • Ability to learn and adapt fast
  • Ability to work for 20-30 hours/ week.
