Position Overview

The Manager Commercial Support is responsible for the performance of the contracting process, including performance metrics from creation to completion. This position focuses on the supervision and management of the Getinge Pricing and Contracting Team to support  field sales and Healthcare Solutions teams in pricing, pricing analysis, contract development and the related implementation and tracking thereof. Additionally, the position is responsible for the management of the Freshdesk Ticket System.

Job Functions

  • Recruit, manage, train and develop the Contracts and Pricing Team.
  • Train team on approval process and the proper methods for utilizing contract templates to develop customer agreements.
  • Works with pricing analyst team to ensure deadlines are met for field response, pricing disputes resolution, pricing expiration reports and other projects.
  • Partners with Finance, Accounts Receivable on developing processes around the investigation and resolution of pricing disputes and short payment issues
  • Manages local and contract pricing to ensure it is accurate and timely in SAP and other applications.
  • Supervise and train team to interface with legal department for the review of terms and conditions and RFP requirements as needed.
  • Partners with Marketing, Finance and Sales management on the development of new contract offerings as needed for changes in business or introduction of new product lines.  Ensuring that team is properly trained on new products and able to execute contracts and programs as needed.
  • Partners with Marketing, finance and customer service on new product introductions to ensure pricing is loaded, contracts updated, internal system applications are current and up to date
  • Oversee and continually develop current contract offerings and templates.
  • Manage and develop contracting and quoting systems and applications
  • Develop processes for contract performance metrics and ensure that such metrics are tracked accurately as it relates to rebates, usage agreements and others.
  • Partner with Health Systems team to support their efforts related to IDN (Integrated Delivery Network) and GPO agreements and related management.
  • Ad hoc projects and requests from management as needed.


  • Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related work experience in Contract review, preparation and management and 3-5 years of supervisory experience.
  • Experience with Contract Management Systems
  • Experience working with a Field Sales team and senior management.
  • Contract negotiation skills highly preferred.
  • Background in medical device or pharmaceutical industries preferred.
  • Ability to review and edit sales side contracts
  • Ability to prepare Variance and Adhoc reports to Senior Management
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • An independent worker who is detail oriented, accurate and able to achieve deadlines
  • Advanced skills in in Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Intermediate skills in Excel
  • SAP and /or COGNOS knowledge are preferred
