Steritec Products Inc., a member of the Getinge Group, manufactures sterilization and cleaning medical device consumables using ink technology. We manufacture and print highly specialized proprietary inks that undergo specific color changes when exposed to different sterilization conditions in hospital and industrial/pharmaceutical sterilizers.

We are located in the beautiful Inverness Business Park in Englewood, CO. We offer a generous benefit package (medical, dental, vision, life, LTD, 401(k) as well as PTO, company-paid holidays and much more) all effective first day of employement!

This position has a start rate of $17.00 per hour with a 90-day reveiw to follow. The 2nd shift (3:00pm - 11:30pm, Mon - Fri)

Position Summary:

Print Press Operator is responsible for press make-ready, setting up of jobs and production print check to ensure proper machine set up. 

Also, the Print Press Operator will create and maintain proper screens, including placement of positive, the right mesh, having the right emulsion on the screen and having the screen ready for the next job.

Finally, under general direction, the Print Press Operator will learn to make compound indicator ink batches in advance to fulfill the demand of the printing schedule and monitor the performance of all ink making equipment.

Essential Job Functions:

          

Print

  • Observes machinery for optimum speed, registry and print quality according to established standards.
  • Runs, adjusts and troubleshoots production equipment and machinery.
  • Maintains and provides production logs and reports as necessary.
  • Helps direct departmental work flow.
  • Maintains cleanliness of work area and equipment.
  • Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality and personal appearance.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors and general public.

Screen

  • Determines if screen has defects or is worn out and in need of replacement.
  • Keeps screens ready for the printing press as per the Planning schedule.
  • Alerts Ink Supervisor when raw material is needed to maintain flow of Screen production.
  • Maintains and provides production logs and reports as necessary.
  • Helps the printer with set-ups and tear down of the press and in running press when the print technician is not available.
  • Helps direct departmental work flow.
  • Maintains cleanliness of work area and equipment.
  • Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality and personal appearance.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors and general public.

Ink

  • Follow GMP and the Safety Policy when handling chemicals.
  • Compound indicator ink to supply printing dept. as per Printing schedule.
  • Make necessary ink timing adjustments.
  • Document formula information on ink batch records and lab notebooks.
  • Organize all Chemical inventory and keep them correct in ERP system.
  • Alert Operations Manager when raw material is needed to maintain flow of ink production.
  • Monitor the performance of all ink making equipment, troubleshoot and report to the Maintenance department and Operations Manager.
  • Discuss product and department improvement.
  • Communicate relevant information with QC and Production departments.
  • Will successfully complete the Colorado Hazardous Waste Regulations annual certification class. Course will be scheduled and paid for by SteriTec Products, Inc.
  • Clean up ink making area and equipment on a daily basis.

Essential Job Requirements:

EDUCATION

High School Diploma or GED

EXPERIENCE

Safe handling of chemicals,

REQUIRED SKILLS

Applied Math / Computer literate. Good manual dexterity, legible handwriting and comprehension of written instructions.

PREFERRED SKILLS

Good eye to hand coordination.  Ability to neatly organize a work area for good ergonomic flow. Basic laboratory techniques.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

                                                      Must wear appropriate PPE as required per job. Requires manual coordination and vision to operate PC and calculator.

                                                      Hearing necessary to receive and reply to outside contacts and employees. Ability to speak clearly in order to communicate

                                                      with customers, vendors and employees in person. Must be willing to work in both sitting and standing positions for long

                                                      periods of time, up to 8 hours per shift. Some bending, stooping, reaching and lifting (up to 75 pounds) is required.

                                                      Willingness to frequently move to various locations within building. Be willing to lift up to 75 lbs. on a regular basis.
